Resume Signal ("the app") is built to help you write and tailor your resume. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's handled. Replace the bracketed placeholders below with your own details before submitting to the Google Play Store — Play Console requires an accurate, live policy URL.

Information we collect

Account information: the email address and password you use to sign in, handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.
Resume content: everything you enter into the builder — your name, contact details, work history, education, and skills — stored so it's there the next time you open the app.
Job descriptions you paste: used only to generate a tailored version of your resume, and to compute the keyword match score shown to you.
Subscription status: whether you're on the free or paid tier, and payment confirmation details from our payment processor, Flutterwave. We do not receive or store your full card or mobile money account details — those are handled directly by Flutterwave.

How we use this information

To save and display your resume across sessions and devices.
To generate AI-tailored resume content and a keyword match score against a job description you provide.
To enforce the free-tier usage limit and unlock Pro features once you've subscribed.
To communicate with you about your account (for example, email confirmation at sign-up).

Third parties involved in processing your data

Supabase — authentication and database storage.
Anthropic — processes your resume content and pasted job description to generate the AI-tailored rewrite and match score. This content is sent for the sole purpose of producing that response.
Flutterwave — processes subscription payments (card, mobile money, bank transfer).
[Your hosting provider, e.g. Netlify] — hosts the app and its serverless functions.

Data retention

Your resume content and account information are kept for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [your support email].

Your choices

You can edit or delete any resume content directly in the app at any time.
You can cancel your subscription at any time; your account will revert to the free tier at the end of the current billing period.
You can request a copy of your data or its deletion by contacting [your support email].

Children's privacy

Resume Signal is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
